Park art

What is Park art?
Park art is the largest free public festival in Alphen. Every year it is organized by Parkexpressie on the Queen’s birthday which is on april 30th . Park art is for the young as well as for the old and is free of charge. Admission totalled 23,000 last year. Park art is thus definitively close at heart to Alphen’s citizens but also holds a large attraction for people outside Alphen. Why go to Amsterdam when Alphen is so much nicer?

Behind the scenes work is going on for months on programming and organization. We can give a hint to what is in the books for 2012:

Artists from all over the country and from Alphen will erect stalls. There will be a beautiful street theatre for young and old, a old dutch merry-go-round and a special motion picture automobile for the kids. A dance demonstration will be given by pupils from Parkexpressie and various bands will be on stage during the afternoon.
There will be a great choice of stalls offering delicious snacks and drinks.
