Oldtimer day On the saturday preceding the annual fair day (3rd wednesday in september) the Oldtimer day is organized. The oldtimers are positioned in a large section of Alphen’s town centre. Apart from oldtimers there are also old motorcycles, steam engines, etc. on show. All shops are open of course and there are many stalls, terraces and performances of various bands and dance groups. Adjacent to the oldtimers a street market is organized, covering the remainder of the city centre..
