Accessibility

By public transport
There is a railroad connection from Leiden, Gouda and Utrecht to Alphen aan den Rijn. Every half hour there is a train to and from Alphen aan den Rijn to these cities.

By Car
The easiest way to visit Alphen aan den Rijn is via the N11 motorway, which connects the A4 motorway, near Leiden with the A12 motorway, near Bodegraven.This is by far the easiest and fastest connection from any direction. From Amsterdam you can also take the A4 motorway till the Burgerveen crossing, Exit 4 to Nieuw Vennep and Alphen aan den Rijn. From there follow the directions Alphen aan den Rijn via the N207 and within 15 minutes you will arrive in Alphen aan den Rijn.
