Arrangement Oudshoorn with boat trip
A pleasant walk through the original Oudshoorn followed by a boat trip through the “Green Heart".

Arrangement details: You will be received in restaurant “De Vrienden” with a cup of coffee or tea with amenities. The walk will be continued to the Turkish mosque where you will get a guided tour. From there we will walk through the Groenoord quarter and on to the Oude Rijn. Here we will visit the Oudshoorn church (1665) with its unique 17 stained glass windows. We continue our walk along the tow-path between the Oude Rijn and the interesting 18th century mansions. On the banks of the Oude Rijn we propose a toast with an Alphen glass of liqueur. The walk finishes with a luncheon served in the 100 years old brown pub “De Heul”. After the luncheon we will board the water-bus. The boat trip follows the Oude Rijn and the Heimanswetering towards Woubrugge. The Braassem Lake is crossed to enter the Leidsevaart. Then we sail via Bilderdam to the Aarkanaal and towards Gouwsluis where we will reenter the Oude Rijn to sail back to our point of departure. People interested in pottering around bric-a-brack may be interested to visit “De Doofpot” or to walk back to our starting location at restaurant “De Vrienden”.
